Ahmed's "clock" deconstructed

From the beginning I smelled a rat ... but I'm pretty cynical.

He didn't "invent" or even "make" a clock ... there's no Ardoino or RaspberryPI note even so much as a Heath Kit (do they still make those?)... he didn't make any circuit boards or stitch together parts bought at Radio Shack.

All he did is take the guts out of an old digital clock and put them in a box (I believe purposely making it look like a bomb).

My suspicion is that he did this knowing it would be blown out of proportion (no pun intended) and it could be capitalized on by his or his fathers' friends at CAIR.

I felt it had a smell to it from the git go.
Either a scheme to have is further education funded or there is a more nefarious reason.

Kid who happens to be muslim, makes a "home made clock". Some evidence he just took apart a clock and placed it into a locking case. Brings it to school, 1st teacher advises him to not carry it around. Kid carries it around, alarms people. Cops get called for hoax bomb. Kid doesn't explain to the cops whats happening. Kid is handcuffed, not charged. Kid talks to press, "is innocent and was mistreated due to his heritage/religion." Supreme leader Obama invites him to bring his clock to White House, people add a pound sign to kids name.
