Looking for a new optic for my BCM Lightweight 16" (Pencil profile with KMR rail). The gun weighs 6.0 lbs without optic and I want to keep it light.

Current Optic: Rifle has a 1-4x Vortex PST with MOA reticle and capped turrets sitting in a Larue LT-104. This setup has served me well for the last few years. It is generally fast at 1x and works well out to 300 yds.

Needs: I want to upgrade to something with a brighter center dot and has enough zoom to get me out to ~400 yds (With my eyes, seems like 6x should do it).

Preferences: MOA or MIL hashes to fixed drop stadia. Capped turrets.

Budget: Sub 2k

Current Options in Mind:
- Vortex Razor HD II (Heavy...otherwise reviews I have read are good)
- Trijicon TR25 (Newest, Illumination seems to get mixed reviews)
- Burris XTR II 1-5 (Only 1x more than PST, better glass should help)


What is everyone using these days for 1-6x optics? What am I missing in my research?
