This is why i dislike kenmore. Expensive little bastards. They go as far as making sure all their fittings have unique threads so you cannot use any other companies parts.

I went with a cheap frigidaire from lowes.

our new build will get some nice appliances. All of these for this house we bought new kenmore. Every single one has had issues, so as fast as 7 months after new. The fridge at just after a year had a fuse blow out. Sears tells me the only way to fix is a $500ish dollar part that contains the fuse and they don't sell them separate.
I buy a 5 pack at Home Depot for under $10 and it's worked since, except the ice dispenser only dispenses crushed ice even on cube setting.
handle on microwave came off twice, had to replace that once. Dishwasher had buttons coming off, then this. Stove fried the motherboard...as in damn near electrical fire. Took me call all the way up to headquarters threatening lawsuit for faulty wiring/parts to get them to replace it.

i know things don't last forever, but when in under 7 years every major appliance has had a major problem or multiple problems....that is shitty stuff.
