    Default Ruger Precission 308

What are some of the recommendations for a scope?

Some are: nightforce, leupold, Schmidt and bender.

Won't find better at that price for that gun.

What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

One of the Burris XTRIIs. Great glass, feature rich and the best value in an optic that does not have any issues to dismiss it.

Vortex Razor gen 2, the Burris Xtr2 is also a good choice at its price point. 1st Gen Steiner Military 4-16x50 is a great scope as well.
