Default Decent Free Video Editing Software?

I've got some decent footage of the match today, both from GoPro and a second camera (cell phone). Is there a decent, free, video editing software that could help me present a split screen to show both perspectives at once? I think I can do that with the stock editor on Youtube, but I'm sure there is something better out there. What are you guys using?

Thank you. Turns out I don't have any stages that were shot with two cameras at once, so I can hold off for this time.

GoPro has software you can get from their website. Supposedly it's pretty easy to use

I've found the free version of iMovie is pretty capable for basic video editing.
