Default 1 Dog vs 2 Wolves

GoPros make for a lot of interesting video.

From the site I found it on:
The dog lives, but this video is still a graphic and potentially disturbing look inside what a wolf attack really looks like.

Klara is a four-year old Swedish elk hound owned by Tommy Berglund. He was on a hunting trip in Värmland County, Sweden when she wandered off.

“My impression is that she was out on a regular search excursion,” Tommy told Swedish Hunting. He didn’t realize she’d been in a fight at all until he found her laying down in the forest and discovered large bite marks all over her body. He threw Klara onto his shoulders and carried her 700 meters out to the road; fortunately there was a vet just 25 minutes away who was able to stitch her up. She’s now recovering at home. Tommy doubts she’ll ever be able to join him hunting again, but is just happy to have his first dog home safe.

Man, I'd be pretty upset if my dog were ever attacked.

My wife said the hunter shouldn't have let the dog go out alone unarmed. I laughed at her. Then she showed me this.

How many people don't leash their dog in open areas?

agreed. This dog did surprisingly well against the proverbial wolves.

The locals in the outlying, more remote areas nearby are furious about the Canadian Gray wolves that have been transplanted (or reintroduced) into Idaho. They've apparently decimated elk and deer herds. Here's a picture of a guy holding a 180 lb wolf that was shot somewhere in central Idaho.

I was in a home a few weeks ago. Guy had 10' ceilings and a wolf pelt hanging on his wall. He claimed it was over 200 lbs. The tip of the nose of the pelt was about 2" below the ceiling. About a foot of tail was laying on the floor. I WOULD NOT wanna run into that animal in the woods.

I feel sorry for the owner. If your dog wanders off and won't come back when called, it doesn't need to be off leash
