Ben carson is now OUT of the Running for president

Here's my theory- now that the "great divider" can't run for a 3rd term, we now have each side going farther apart... The Dems are leaning towards Sanders (an unapologetic socialist), and conservatives see the appeal of a unapologetic right-to-life candidate who's literally a brain surgeon.

Now that they've succeeded in dividing this country worse than ever before, each side is now looking for candidates that are not moderate, but as far away from our opposition as possible.

I'm no sociologist, but that's my take at this freak show election.

Problem is, I think there are far too many takers and they'll put a socialist in office- plus the Dems will lie, cheat and steal whatever votes they can in order to win.

I don't think what he said is going to hurt him at all...at least not among anyone who isn't a committed leftist anyway.

When are people going to realize that conservatism wins and those so-called conservatives who are afraid to promote conservative values lose?

This. Tons of people don't agree with abortion and will be happy to finally have a candidate willing to voice their shared opinion. Thank goodness he's not a milk toast Romney/McCain who conservatives are supposed to accept as the lesser of two evils- who ends up leaving un-inspired voters at home.

I actually watched a bit of that interview this morning. Though I thought Dr Carson could have structured his abortion/Roe v Wade answers a little differently (to avoid giving so much ammo to both sides), I appreciate that he is honest about not compromising his beliefs.
I also wanted to chuck the tv out the window when the comparison was made between Surface to Air Missiles and personal weapons (by the interviewer) during the obviously "Gotcha" tinged 2A portion.

Is he unelectable now? Who's to say.

The idea that only pro abortion liberals can get elected is stupid. If being a middle of the road moderate who would bend with the fickle winds of polls and the manufactured public opinion espoused by our Democrat run MSM would help Republicans get elected we'd all be posting here about the stupid crap President McCain or President Romney did today.

People are tired of politicians that don't stand for something. Abortion has become damn near a 50-50 issue in this country so coming out against abortion (and in particular the unconstitutional way laws banning it were over ruled by a bunch of oligarchs in black robes) is not going to cost him the election ... in fact standing strongly for something is going to garner him more support.

Since Roe V Wade EVERY Republican President has been pro-life and publicly spoken out against Roe V Wade.


So what are all the glowing and wonderful things the MSM has been or would have been saying about Carson? How can they hate him more than they already do? He's a black conservative ... he is a thing to be scorned and destroyed (even if he came out for free government paid for abortions to the 30th trimester).

Giving honest answers backed by his medical training and solid reasoning can only help him with people who think but are undecided. My Democrat godmother isn't going to support a Republican candidate no matter what s/he says because my godmother -- like many people -- is going to just make up reasons to back up her "feelings" (which in this case are directed by the lies and propaganda put out by the DNC).
What will help Carson is that he says what he does in a low key, non-threatening manner and forces some of those undecideds to really think instead of just react emotionally.

Unfortunately the Emotional / Professional voter usually turns out en-mass . OR they're being repressed by the uber rich white man who wants everyone that votes to provide ID
