I'm sure there are dumber things I've done, but this story comes to mind first.

Growing up in AZ (an hour south of Tucson) I spent a lot of time riding my bike through the desert. Diamond Back rattlers were very common, so common I didn't have much fear of them. When I was around 8 or 9 I heard a rattle, went and found the snake under a rock and hit it with a yucca stick. I then proceeded to throw it over my handlebars and bring it home to show Mom. Mom was none to happy to say the least especially because the snake was not even dead.

She wouldn't let me go back outside until Dad came home and dispatched the snake properly that evening.

I went to Lincoln college of technology, what a joke! Going there will only get you 30k+ in debt, fu@k that place nothing but pipe dreams. I only know one guy who has a good job and it took him a long time to get there. Getting arrested ruined my chance of becoming a United States Marshall when I was 20.

Interesting to see all the comments about college degrees. Tech college has worked well for me. 30 Years later it's paying well.

    One stupid thing...

Left tech college class early with a couple of other friends at the time. All three of us were racing away in our vehicles and I missed a corner at a significant speed and went through a fence, back yard, out the other fence, down an embankment onto the same road again. Trashed dads truck, a few fences, and could have killed some people. Got the other two guys in trouble too, and instructors. Not proud of that.

    Another...

Not listening to my body, ignoring the symptoms that I probably should go see a doctor. Now I'm stuck with a lifetime of pain and expensive pills. $1700 for a 90 day supply. Yay me.

There are other stupid things, but that is enough for now.

I remember starting at thread about trying to become an electrician back around March 17th, 2010 on here. I still wish I had gone into the trades. Even went so far as to reach out to a plumber today.

Lol. You seem like more of an insurance guy to me.

Doing the initial inspections and estimate writing is great. It's all the extra work for no extra pay and follow-up that kills it for me. I'd take being elbow deep in feces every single day for twice the pay and none of the follow-up paper work BS.

As a fellow insurance adjuster, I couldn't agree with you more.

    That can probably be arranged...

Or at least get you a new title: "elbow deep in poop"
