Was detoured while driving down Platte. Was about 11:00ish and we did not know what was going on at the time. Just a lot of cops and taped of roads. Folks were walking around like normal.

Heard about it when I got home from grocery shopping and immediately texted the family to let them know I wasn't anywhere near it. The dang Boulderite-wannabes are going to have a field day with this one.

Don't worry, whatever gun he used, it was a democrat approved 15 rounds or less killing machine. Not to mention the dems approved of him having this rifle since we now have universal BGCs in our state. In the end, this killing was Democrat certified and democrat approved.
In all seriousness, glad the LEOs arrived quick and put him down before it got much worse.

Part of the problem for media is it happened on Saturday morning ... so they're not going to get much done until Monday. My guess is that if this guy was a right-winger we'd all know his name and his manifesto and browser history would have been published by Saturday afternoon. I'm sure the police know who it was. Why not just tell us the guys name? I'm skeptical anymore. Are there others out there waiting to do the same thing? Even the media admits the authorities are being tight lipped. I guess ignorance is bliss.
There's three reasons not to tell the shooter's name. One is they haven't been able to contact his next-of-kin yet, the second is that he had no ID on him and they're searching "the system" for his name. The third is political correctness (he's got an Arabic name or he's an illegal alien or something along those lines ... in other words he's the kind of bad-guy that us on the right have been warning about and they don't dare let the truth out lest it harm the left). In all honesty I bet its the first or second, but I wouldn't rule out the third.
