I know we're off topic now, but apparently the Muslim stabber guy wrote a manifesto talking about how he was angry at some classmates....it also contained ramblings about jihad. The authorities are caulking this one up to nothing more than a revenge attack, in other words, completely blowing off the terrorist wannabe diary as insignificant.

And it's possible for half of the mean to be below average, just depends on the distribution.

I could also point out that a city like Colorado Springs could have a inordinately high IQ (mean or median), which would mean that more of the below average people live in Boulder(just as an example)
