RUMOR: Bass Pro buyout of Cabelas was finalized this week

I heard they were going to build a Hugh M Woods down on Broadway.

I miss Hugh M. Wood. Bought all the windows (Pella) for my last house from them. Had a hell of a discount card for them also.

I just wish Cabela's would staff their store properly. Getting an employee there to help you is impossible. I don't know how they ever sell shoes there. I was ready to buy a pistol there a few months ago but waited 20 minutes and couldn't get a person to sell me the thing.

Thank God for Big R in Elizabeth, saved about $100 on the pistol and no wait. I think that is my new favorite store.

I've always had much better luck with Cabelas. Price, availability, service. Bummer.

I'll never shop at Jax again, even tho there is one down the street from me. The owner, Quinlan, dropped all ARs and accessories when the gun laws were passed a few years ago. On his facebook page, he indicated that "nobody needs an assault weapon". That said enough for me.
