It absolutely could happen anywhere...because the world continues to accept the reality of the current world situation. Just because you put your head in the sand doesn't mean people with ill intent won't stab you in the butt.
Most of Europe, as well as the U.S. have enough of our own problems without having to import them from the Middle East. Frankly, that's just asking for problems, BIG problems.
