As far as the sack situation goes...anybody else think it was coincidental that the Schofield situation was being brushed under the rug until Manning took the field? I find it hard to be as cynical as most of you self proclaimed fans are because of that whole "Any given Sunday" jargon. There's too much damn talent on that roster to count 'em out so I still have faith in them bastids!

I'm excited, is manning what he was, no. Did the Broncos need to find a way to bench Brock, yes. Brock may be a great qb in the future, but manning has earned the right to finish strong and not have an embarrassing end to his career. I thought Brock may have to fake an injury in order to get manning on the field before the playoffs. If manning really sucks next game, he'll get injured and Brock can come in to finish the game. Cj Anderson has to be healthy, you can load the box on that guy and it doesn't matter. He is a very underrated back, if he can run strong, the Broncos may go to the big game.

    Default How about them Broncos...........

I think bringing in Manning had a psychological impact on both the Chargers and the Broncos. It seemed to energize the Broncos and deflate the Chargers.

"Spygate" is well-known as a hit job, considering literally every other team in the league was doing the exact same thing. The "cheating" was a completely inconsequential technical violation.

"Ballghazi/Deflategate" not only had laughably weak evidence in the Wells report, but the amount of deflation was also completely insignificant. Even IF it had actually been a nefarious plot, it would've hindered the Pats more than help them by way of miniscule reductions in velocity, and making it more difficult to make grabs.

People hate success when it doesn't favor them. Make no mistake, the Pats aren't where they are because of cheating. They're there because of brilliant and obsessive dedication to game study, terrific front office work, and building/retaining talent. Gronk was drafted 42nd in the 2nd round. Brady was pick 199 in the 6th. Chandler Jones was taken 21st, and Hightower 25th in 2012. Hate 'em all you want, but the Pats are right up there with the Spurs for the most dominant dynasties of the last 20 years.

I would have to agree. It is glaringly obvious when you compare the Pats to someone like the Browns who squandered and chewed up so many great draft picks. One organization is built better from the top down to produce a team that is contending every year. Broncos also have that and we should be grateful versus what has been done to the other pro teams in Denver.

The sad truth is that the entire AFC sucks. IF the Broncos happen to make it to SB 50 they will not fare well against a far superior NFC.

You are living in the past. The Seahawks are beatable. The panthers are beatable by this defense. Ditto the cardinals.

But to win a championship game against the NFC you need offense that can handle their defense-the Broncos, as much as I'd like to see them do it, will fall short.
