I did not expect the Broncos to win last night. They barely defeated Pittsburgh, and only due to a fumble. I certainly didn't expect us to hold the lead the whole game like that!
Should be a good game in a couple weeks!
We ended up selling our tickets for both playoff games. It helped to offset surgery one of my hunting dogs needed. Blew out his knee. I got a lot of kidding from friends for selling my playoff tics but it was for a good cause.
Thing is I learned this morning my season ticket account came up with the option to purchase tickets for the Super Bowl. Never came up during the Elway years and did not come up with the Bronco/Seahawks.
Nice way to spend our 30th anniversary just a little early. We had been talking about going to Germany for Octoberfest but with all the problems with refugees I really did not want to go until that situation settles down.
The wife is booking plane and hotel now. We did it ourselves and it is half the price as the packages put together. God I love her.

It was pleasing to see Brady knocked down and rushed so much. A little part of me kind of wanted to see him sit down and cry after the game...Patriots probably could have won if they were more than just Brady and Gronk, but the Broncos were able to effectively shut down the other receiving options.
If the Broncos D can put that much pressure on Cam Newton, they'll have a chance. If not, they'll lose to the tune of 17-35, with at least one of their scores coming in the last 5 mins. I hope it's not a blowout, but I guess that's why sports are fun to watch: you never know who is going to show up and have the game of their life.

Just like with the Patriots and the Steelers before I will make the same claim: If the Denver receivers can catch a ball Denver will win.
The defense will do what the defense does and just like those games have more of a chance to win than most would give them.
