On the flats we have 14-16" depending on where measured. I've got both the Jeep and my 3/4 ton gmc stuck all ready. Drifts are anywhere between 3 and 5 feet tall. I think we ended up with the blizzard. We still have heavy snow and almost whiteout conditions with 40-50 mph winds. I've got pics but can't upload from my phone.

On a side note, I may have put a bit much wood on the fire. It's 86° inside and I'm thinking about opening some windows.

Maybe 1 1/2" and lots of wind here. Roads have nice thick layer of ice from rain/wind/freeze last nite.

Does remind me, was meaning to ask in tire thread. With some of my concern i was having on a good A/T for snow or more specifically ice. There was a lot of debate but I never see chains mentioned. Neither did I on another truck forum. Some said even 4x4 add weight.

But makes me wonder, to me it would seem chains would be easily removable and help a lot more with ice than any non studded tire. Was there some major drawback or they just dont actually do that much?
. Studded snows work better then anything. I'f found the best thing for driving or dealing with ice, is the driver.

AS for snow ? ? ? ? ? It's about 30 mph or NE wind, other than that , dry ground, still. The denver area doesn't look too good, road wise.

Roads between Broomfield and Boulder were barely even wet... My car was iced over a bit, but once scraped, I had an above-average drive time into work.

The wind is terrible here and I can't tell how much snow we have due to drifting. I have drifts of 3' to 4' but I'm not going out until the wind slows down.

no idea how many inches because it's all piled up in spots, and the wind is blowing something fierce out here. Still can't see any further than 200-300 yards.

Hard wind right now in Ft. Collins, no snow, no ice, not even that cold at about 40 degrees.

Anyone know how roads kinda in North East Denver are like Tower road and I70? And up 85. Wife is the crippled fear snow driver. Fine here, dont want to egg her to go and run into 4 inches.
