Okay, here's what my friend had to say (in the event that no one can foster her):

"Word on the street is that a place called DMK rehoming takes pitties. They are based out of Aurora, though, so they have to find fosters in the few areas that allow them, and finding fosters is sometimes hard because they are tough to find homes for, and it usually takes at least twice as long to rehome them as other pups. Also, check out Outpaws, Pawsco, and Coloradogs. South Platte Humane takes pitts."

It looks like she's got a foster home!

The Brighton Animal Shelter didn't want to release her, even after a rescue and foster home were all lined up. They'd rather kill her for being a pit bull than let her go to a home. Luckily, enough dog lovers rallied, and it looks like she's getting sprung tomorrow! it's not over till it's over, but it looks encouraging right now. I'll update with the final outcome.

That is stupid. Glad she has enough support to get out.

HSSPV (humane society south platte valley) is pitbull friendly and takes in pitbulls from other kill shelters. Give them a call and hopefully they can take her. I hope she finds a forever home. I would take her but we are already +1 over the legal limit. We got our marshmallow pitbull from hsspv and though they are a smaller shelter, they do good work.
