A true WTF? moment..

So I go to lunch yesterday, got a hankering for BBQ so I head to Dickies.
I place my order, go up to the cashier, a 20's something gal with the typical "a tackle box exploded in my face" piercings and I pay for my meal.
Meh, so what?
I have on my "Free Colorado" T shirt, you know the black shirt with the AR figure in the state colors with Free Colorado on it. My jacket is open so you can see a bit of it but not the full thing.
"Fishhook" asks me "What's that on your shirt?"
I open my coat and say "Free Colorado".
She then says "Well what's that mean? Kill all the Muslims?"
WTF?
I tell her "No, it signifies support of the recalls of the bought and paid for politicians that crammed unjust and unconstitutional laws down the throats of their constituents, and the recalls were successful."
I said no more and went and ate my lunch.

As I sat there I wondered a few things.....
What would make her make such an accusation?
Does she have any idea how Muslims treat their women?
Does she have any concept of not being taught an education?
Not being allowed to have a job?
Not being allowed to leave the house and if she did, being accompanied by a male family member and being covered from head to toe in black, only her eyes showing?
Of having her genitals mutilated at a young age?
Being forced into marriage to one she does not know?
How merely questioning/backtalking a male could get her beaten severely or possibly buried up to her neck and stoned to death?

No, she has no idea.

And they call us ignorant.


I called the store manager today and advised him of the occurrence, he seemed as appalled as I did.

Haha. Just before the 2008 election I was checking out at a liquor store and had a "Come and take it" t-shirt on with the AR picture and all. The clerk and some other hippie were talking and as I approached the counter the tackle-faced clerk said, "Yeah, we sure have some problems in this country." He was staring right at my chest. It was obvious.

I just replied, "We sure do" and said thanks and have a good night after I paid. I got nothing in return. Haven't seen him there since. Typical.

I don't get it. Nobody gets a badge for being on the 'PC' side of things. Nobody gets a tax break for it. Nobody gets an effigy of themselves built when they die.

Yet they regurgitate politically correct bullshit every single chance they get - even when they have little to no understanding of the subject matter.

They must be at that age where what they consider to be 'social points' are still important.

Is unfortunate for them that social points can't buy you a god damn thing. Not even your life when things actually get serious.

It is unfortunate for them that the collective 'PC' currency they trade among themselves can't buy their lives in the event that things actually get bad.

Laugh at them and move along.... Well, not you, Bert. Light them up with your incredible vitriol. They have it coming...........
