This doesn't add up to me. All afternoon the authorities have been looking for a dark suv. The bad guys made a coordinated attack, went in fast and left fast in an obvious attempt to get away. Yet just now we hear about a pursuit and gun fight between the bg's and the police 4 hours later.......reported to be just 1.5 miles from the scene????? Prepared bg's with an obvious mission to get in and out, only made it a mile in 4 hours??? That doesn't make any sense.

    I wondered the same thing:

    - Laying low nearby (in garage?) waiting for the LEO saturation to decrease?
    - Waiting for Round II?
    - Simply stupid (unlikely given the "professionalism" of the attack)

All thoughts that crossed my mine too.

    - Laying low nearby - super dumb...they had to have know LEO presence would not die down but only increase with time. Like you said, they don't seem dumb..

    - Round 2? Maybe. Only thing I could think might be the case. But still odd. If they wanted a round two, you'd think they'd make some distance between them and the thousands of officers that responded to the first scene. Drive 30 mins away, do it again while police are still busy at the first. Round two right next to the entire LE might of the area...also dumb.

This is all a bunch of BS, didn't happen. It is against the law to possess assault rifles and high capacity clip magazine thingys in CA. It is impossible for any of this to happen in CA. Totally against the law so this has to be a ruse, somebody is playing a big joke on everyone.

The most restrictive gun laws in the country created to prevent this from ever happening again so it can't be true, it is simply against the law to do this kind of thing with those dangerous extra lethal types of firearms.

Am I right? Right? Huh? Huh?

Sale/transfer is banned in the whole state, possession is only banned in LA county. Assault rifles as defined by Sacramento actually are legally if you registered them when the law went into effect. If you registered them you could keep them but they are not transferable within CA and new ones can't be added now unless you get signatures from the governor, feinstein, boxer, pelosi, De leon(ghost gun guy), Jesus, Abe Lincoln etc.

Glad they downed 2 of them it sounds like and hot on the trail of the other(s).

I am very nervous about them speaking of trying to use the terror watch list to block gun sales given it's largely americans, and they've in previous years been caught using lists of motorcycle owners, people who follow gun blogs, etc etc as a domestic terror kinda possible watchlist. The fact that the list is secret and unappealable... ya about that due process... oh wait no, after bush obama signed the new updated laws saying if they really really want to they can declare any american a enemy combatant and bomb them/black hood them.
