Nope, lots of it in CA back in the 80s too.

In "CA" maybe (Travis is a good 500 miles and three cultures north of the IE), but Riverside/SBD was nothing but one Mexican gang vs another Mexican gang in the 80's. The PD helicopters wouldn't even fly over certain areas at night (the area around Malcolm Smith Motorcycles was definitely NO-GO at night) as they'd get shot at so frequently. San Berdue has been a cesspool since before anyone on this forum was alive and it's not changing anytime soon. Inland Center Mall didn't close due to not having the right anchor stores, it closed because nobody could stomach San Bernardino. I doubt a Columbian would have lasted 24 hours in the Casa Blanca neighborhood back in the day.
