I have six 5 gallon cans on rotation right now and throw Sta-Bil in it. No problems so far.

I got all my cans at Walmart. They go on sale every so often for about $12.

$12 for a 5 gallon gas container is pretty cheap compared to what I usually see. I imagine you're talking plastic right?

Yes, plastic. These sit in the shed, so they aren't getting banged up or anything.
