Hey, La Plata county just took my renewal form in and said it would be 8 to 9 weeks.... How is it that other counties can have you in and out with a new permit in 45mins and my county is that far off the back?

Not sure if it's the same for every county but Boulder let's you submit renewal form 120 days prior to current permit expiring. Although the replacement comes sooner than 120 days, they date the start-date on the replacement the day after the old one expires so you don't pay for any overlap.
I'm going to be behind on the renewal to expiry curve. My CCW expires the 22nd of this month and with an 8-9 week lag I'm looking at being without for about 6 weeks. I was hoping for some additional info that I could convey to the SO that might get them moving faster on the renewal. Oh well..

Arapahoe renewed mine same day, and that was with a change in county of residence. My permit had been originally issued in Adams.
