    Default Barrel

bought a X-caliber barrel from Jim @Apache Guns last week. 24 " , 7 mm-08. Looking for opinions on a muzzle brake, any thoughts? I do mostly target shooting and would like to reduce muzzle rise to stay on target.

Is your barrel threaded at the muzzle?

Hawkins precision. His wife shoots local matches with a 7mm 08 and his ported brake
    will work for:
    bullets primers & brass

He also did some tests on some of those measuring the flash from them. There is a link on the #2 website.

didn't realize they did a part 2. thanks for the link. looks like a lot of the 3 port brakes perform well. found another test for bolt rifle muzzles, just can't find the link.

JEC rated up there. I ran that at Rifles Only and was very happy with it. I am now using a TB for the CB9 and when the can was detained the brake was OK. I love the ability to swap suppresses from one gun to the others so I'm not complaining.
