    Default Magpul hunter 700

Has any one used the magpul detachable box magazine kit? I was wondering if it will fit the ergo stock as well. The description says it's a replacement for factory bottom metal. I'm conflicted I want the xlr chassis but the magpul stock is a good deal. I know I should just get the xlr chassis but I decided to get my little brother his first rifle. Mainly I want the magazine capability. If the kit will fit the houge overmold stock I can just get that and save for the xlr chassis.

The Magpul DBM is specific to their new stock (I believe). Of course a good smith could probably make it work. That Houge stock is not setup to accept a DBM, only a hinged floor plate. I would not waste the time or money to modify/inlet it for a DBM.

The Magpul is designed for their own stock, but can be fitted. I installed one in a Bell and Carlson stock. It took some fitting to both the stock and to the magazine well. Since I already had the stock and I'm happy with it, it was worthwhile to me.

They seem to be a decent value for a stock with an aluminum bedding block. I bought mine from Stocks Stocks a couple years ago. If I were to buy again I might consider a chassis system, like the XLR Industries. They are made in Colorado and have the AICS system built in.

So I ordered both stocks decided I'm going to keep the one I like better and put the other on my little brothers rifle. I'm going to put the other one on my little brothers rifle. I had a friend getting rid of an adl model so he gave me a good deal.
