Default Green light for a Vet

Saw the comericial from Walmart (not big on them), but thought it was to show support to vets. I'm going to participate and change a light to green. Anyone else think this is a nice gesture for our veterans?

Is this it? First I've heard of it, is this a new thing? I'm curious what some of our veterans think of this vs. hanging a flag or something similar. I like the sentiment, just I'm not sure how many people would know what it meant.

The last time I put out green lights, some dingleberry stole them. However, I'll do it again for this.

That's it, I'm not sure on the rules of hanging a flag due to my hoa. So I'm going to do this cause I do appreciate all that have and still serve! That's not cool that someone stole your lights, hope that doesn't happen again.

I would, but the assclowns that built my house put in light fixtures that use the GU24 base outside.

Oh well. Replacing the stupid front porch lights was #4 on my house projects list, so I'll just bump it up to #2. #1 is getting done this weekend (Painting 2 walls in the living room).

    GREEN LIGHT GO GO GO!

GEDIT: I'm also unclear as to what the green light represents, unless of course it's a reference to throwing yourself out of a "perfectly good" airplane,

I think it's a good idea. I hope word gets around.

    THE MEANING OF GREEN

Green is the color of hope, renewal and well-being. “Greenlight” is also a term commonly used to activate forward movement. The simple action of changing one light to green is intended to spark a national conversation regarding the recognition of veterans, and “greenlight” them forward as valued members of our communities.
