Eotech getting sued?

I traded a handgun for my XPS and sent it in. Got $514 back. Similar build of 2015. Knowing the information at hand, I probably wouldn't have accepted the trade back then. That's how I looked at it.

This is kinda where I'm at- I have a similar situation... what did you replace yours with? That's probably what makes me hesitate- I'd want a reflex site with a different reticle than a simple dot. I've got a Bushnell TRS-25, and just not as quick with plain red dot.

I picked up a T1 from the forum here. Im waiting to grab another H1 from a local dealer once they get in stock. If I come across a cheap Eotech down the road, I'd probably pick it up. I did enjoy it but the trust was a big thing for me for such an expensive dot. But I assume at some point, Eotechs will drop to the ~$150-200 range once everyone ditches them and doesn't want them at all. Then I'd be willing to grab one and use it range only.

I was going to ignore this whole thing as I was happy with mine. Then yesterday I break it out to go shoot and its crapped out. Couldn't see the reticle in the sun. Swapped batteries and same thing.

Came home took it off and mounted the Sparc and filed a claim with L3

EOTech calls me back and says I need to email a guy at the consulting company handling the refund processing with information on the over payment and I'd have to work with them on trying to get a correct check sent out. Not getting the feeling that this will be a quick payback for honesty . . . but we'll see.

I never got any sort of confirmation that they received my sight so I called their new dedicated refund info number today. Guy said they did get it but he couldn't tell me when I'd get a check. Said if I hadn't received one within 3 weeks to call back.

I mailed mine to them on January 28.

They received mine 12/29 and I haven't received my check yet.

If you are on the fence go for it. If they deny your claim nothing lost. Your not forced to ship it to them. My EOTech was a 2011 EXPS3 and they still gave me $600 plus the $15 for shipping. I got mine in a trade for a gun so I was not the original buyer. Shipped the site 12-29, check on 2-17. I really liked my EOTech but I'm betting down the road these things get cheap. I like having the full refund in my pocket and buying what I want right now.

I have never heard if it is every model or just some. So I'm guessing they could say some are either too old or wrong model? Just thinking out loud.
