I bought one used, so unlikely I could get a refund anyway... This just means I'll check the zero periodically, maybe some parallax tests too.

I don't know what to do? I've had my EXPS3-0 for about two years. I don't shoot with it on the gun all the time, it still looks new, I have the box but no receipt. It works fine but for $600 I don't want to find out later it quit working. I really like it, but what to do? I would like to know if this is a small window of opportunity or an ongoing buy back.

I debated sending mine back. Have only had it for a year and haven't done a ton of shooting with it up to now. Would I ever experience an issue? No idea . . . maybe not. But the information that has come out on the issues and the company's response (and lack of response) just doesn't sit well. And they aren't putting up a fight at all about offering refunds at this point--apparently even for 10+ year old, heavily used sights. Not exactly the actions of a company whose product has been unfairly maligned.

So to me, it makes sense to take a mulligan, get a refund, and move on while the opportunity is there. I'd be hacked down the road if I started noticing issues and I would always be wondering if that day would come.
I submitted the RMA request on Thursday and only received an email back asking if I wanted to be on their mailing list... go figure. How long did it take between request and getting an approval?

    Thanks.

I got the same email . . . I think that's just some auto-response they have set up that asks you to opt-in to their marketing emails.

Took about 2 days to get the RMA approval back from the time I submitted. I would think you'd hear back early next week?

All they sent me for my RMA approval was the note below. No mention of needing the original packaging or receipt . . . although I mentioned in my RMA request that I can provide the receipt if needed. So I don't know if that was implicit. I have a feeling, though, that they are just sending out a boilerplate response. I did have my original packaging and shipped mine back in that and with the receipt.

I have only heard of a few rejections in reading a couple different forums. One or two were rejected because the serial # was missing from the sight. I thought I had seen a coupe that specially asked for a receipt . . . but have also heard some folks that weren't asked. Hard to say. I am not sure they have been very clear on what is required. I do know that there have been a lot of people getting approved for some really old units.

Your refund request has been received and approved. Please print and enclose this email with your optic and return it to: EOTech Refunds, 1201 E Ellsworth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. EOTech will refund the purchase price plus $15 shipping cost as soon as possible.

    Thank You,

Kind of strange but I don't see the 553.A65 listed. Any clues as to why?

Did you look under the master section of "Discontinued Models"? My 556 was listed there.

"Out for delivery" to their office in MI today. We'll see how long it takes to get me something back.
