Bad dog owners, allude to killing their dog. Intervention?

Just saw this post on fb where the last basically details their problem dog that sounds like they failed to train on any level. Now starting get the dog in a small window else hubby is taking it on a one way trip.

I pointed out you can surrender a dog and illegal to just shoot your dog yourself. Now post is deleted.

Worth contacting some kind of animal control or pd in fountain? Far from me but know some members in area that may know right people to maybe contact.

Where is it written its illegal to shoot your own dog? Im sure it would have to be done humanely. I would like to see the statute.

It's been in the news a few times for people doing it. Outside of ran over car mortally wounded situations.

I suppose one option would be to let the dog who is "a hazard to their home" into your home...

The way I grew up, if the vet said there is nothing more we can do, my father calmly took said dog or cat, loaded it up in the truck, and "went for a drive". I'm certain if one of our dogs would have killed another pet unprovoked, they'd be going for a drive. I guess us small town folks just grew up a little different than city folk.

Oh well for the dog lovers. Just kill your pets when tired of them or do something wrong vs turning over to a rescue. This bitch tries to sell not driving it due to no money when you can see plenty of money floating on their public stuff. Which, the original thing I might add was posted publicly by them. Be much more understanding if it bit a kid or something.
