    Winter+cave+scouts=PissedOffBear. I'll bet those kids remember that hike and lesson. At least the leader had a rock hammer...

    I may not be the sharpest tack in the drawer, but I know better than to bother a sleeping bear. Heck I am grumpy enough when I get woken up from my nap

    When I first read the story, it sounded like they didn't know the bear was in there, the Scoutmaster was pointing out the cave, and then the bear came out and started pulling him inside. Still not smart to be close to a cave entrance when you don't know what's inside but I don't know how close they really were -- bears can move awfully fast when they want to.
