Default Is anyone using Boost Mobile or Metro PCS?

I've been a Verizon customer for 15+ years but their plan prices continue to increase. I am looking at the Boost Mobile and Metro PCS unlimited plans but am wanted to ask here first to see if anyone has first hand experience of either carrier. I have my own phone and specifically need 4G LTE and "hotspot" capability. Any experiences are appreciated.

Look at Tracfone. They offer 4g, not sure about hot spot. I do the verizon pre-pay but it's a 3g only deal.

I've been using Straight Talk for around 3 years now, can't beat it for $45 a month unlimited with 5gb high speed data. As for hotspot I don't know because my phone is rooted so it works. Worth checking out.

Have you checked out Ting? In my opinion, it's the way all cell phone services should be operated. The HoneyBadgers saved about $45/mo between the two of us when we had it. The only reason we chose to switch back to Verizon is that I now work in a relatively remote mountainous area that only gets reliable coverage (barely even 3G) from Verizon and nobody else.

Check them out. I bet you can save a decent amount of money: www.Ting.com

Edited to add: *disclaimer* I'm not a representative of the company and I have nothing to gain or lose by your choice in cell phone carriers. I just had a good experience that I think many people might also find beneficial.

    I tried:

Looks like you wouldn't save with Ting right now.

Then again, you could still save with Ting just by taking simple steps like using Wi-Fi at home and at work.

    Thanks anyways.

Bummer. It was worth a try, I guess.

I had boost several years ago, they are on the sprint network, work ok in the metro area.

Did not like that they marketed to gangsters and the like. Also, if you got on one of their really good deals, you could lose it if you were a day late in renewing. I alway renewed with a couple days to spare, but other Pay as you go plans give you up to 90 days.

It may have changed but that was my experience.

My oldest daughter just went with T-Mobile, she seems to like it.
