300 Blackout Ammo Selection - What bullet weight for what purpose?

Should be picking up a 300 Blackout AR w/16" barrel in the next couple of months and started thinking about ammo options. I know of the 300 Blackout, but this will be my first rifle. It is a fun gun at this point, but might go the SBR/suppressed route in the future.

I'm curious on appropriate ammo selection. From what I'm reading, the heavier bullets 180gr+ are for best for suppressed rifles, 110 to 120gr bullets are typically the more accurate rounds and good for accuracy/hunting ammo and the 147gr/150gr are primarily range fodder.

I know I'm generalizing with my statement above, but is it basically correct?

I shoot subs with bullets from 175-230gns. Pig hunting ammo is 125gn going the speed of heat.

When you can find them, surplus 147-155gn bullets are cheap plinkers for shooting dirt. Cheap at the expense of accuracy.

I've been working on a load for my 16" 300Blk rifle with H110 and Barnes 110gr Blacktips. Chrono'd these suckers at +2,400fps. I think these should do the job as long as the shooter does his. If there's a monolithic 125gr projectile that'll feed in a Blackout application, I'm all ears. I know Barnes has one in their factory load but nothing available to the reloader.

The 110grain Barnes are good for deer/pigs, and other social issues. I also shoot the 100 and 125 grain varmint bullets for varmint hunting. Rarely do I shoot the mid-range stuff and I use 240 SMKs for sub-sonic, which is also range use.

The Barnes 130 gr Tipped TSX is very accurate in reload rounds...also the proj. Remington used in their " Hog Hammer" ammo for 300 blk. I like 125 gr speer Tnt for plinking...also speer 130 gr HP. I am just starting load development with the Federal 130 gr MK319 Mod 0 SOST OTM pills. Early results from others are promising and as this is a "barrier blind" round, could be interesting for hunting as well.

What is the challenge with the 147 or 150gr bullets? Limited range or not enough velocity to expand reliably?

Like the idea of the 130gr TSX. The TSX or TTSX are my preferred hunting bullets.
