While there are some events that prove that is true, there are other atrocities that lacked technological advancements and were still horrific.

I remember being in high school, learning about Rwanda. The numbers were approaching 1M people murdered as part of an organized genocide. The primary weapons were machetes, rocks, and clubs. Pictures of innocent men, women, and children dead in mass groups left to rot (no burials).

I couldn't believe the savagery nor could I believe the UN, whose charter is to prevent genocide, stood by and watched.

But no one should think genocide is unique to "white" people or is any more/less effective when "white" people do it.

You should've read the article. It wasn't a narcissistic diatribe. The author was using that first line as an example only and went on to explain why it's totally contrived, fabricated and evil. And he/she is correct.

Sometimes I sux at the interweb. Clicking the link made it more obvious.

I almost didn't read it either. But once I got past the first few sentences it become obvious I misunderstood the intent of that first line.

"Narcissism" has been getting a lot of discussion around my house lately. It wasn't until I read this that I realized how much social media panders to one's ego.

Yep. I get that it is really effecting younger types. But I'm perplexed that it has its hooks in formerly same people in their 40s and 50s. I guess I had higher hopes for older folks.
This really make any kind of collaboration tough. I'm seeing it more and more.

I don't care where you come from, what you worship, who your mamma is, etc... as long as you swear an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, dedicate your life to serving and improving your community and respect the rights of other citizens, you just may be an American just like me.
