If I could talk myself into a decent sidecar, I would ride when it is icy out.

What do you recommend for heated gloves guys? If my fingers weren't frozen maybe my vagina wouldn't get so cold.

I sell all the major brands, and I find that the Gerbings or the Firstgear ones work the best (I'm riding Firstgear currently). The Tourmaster ones worked pretty well for me for several years, but don't keep my thumbs as warm, which is an issue on my particular bike because of the lack of wind protection and the angle of the bars. Whatever you choose, I recommend leather for wind protection and abrasion resistance, passengers can get away with textile, since they are usually out of the wind.

I would recommend installing heated grips instead because you will always have them with you. I love them on my BMW, nothing better than clicking them ON when it's raining out or on a cool evening ride home.

Heated grips will spoil a fair weather rider. WE had foul weather for many a year. Riding beemers with the hg's was a whole nother level of cold weather encouragement.

I had heated grips on my previous bike, haven't bothered to put them on my current one. I will say that the combination of heated gloves and heated grips was pretty awesome when the temps dipped under about 20 degrees!

I think the key to cold weather riding is wind protection. The Effective Wind Chill at 15 degrees and 70 mph is a number I don't care to contemplate, but is perfectly liveable with the right gear.
