Waiting to hear back from Frank Azar ahahaha. As I told my son, that's why it's called an accident and I greatly appreciate that she rang the door bell to let him know. Our street gets very icey and she was probably going just a bit too fast.

Arapahoe Co has a link on the SO's web page to print out a report, done and going in the mail today. No need for the driver to get in trouble.

I had jury for a case similar to this. Guy was trying to sue a 16 year old boy (and his parents) for having a parked car in a neighborhood when HE slide into it. I didn't get picked for a few reasons I'm sure.

Could have been worse. You might be able to squeeze a rental out of them.

Just got off the phone with woman's insurance, Progressive. All set 8a Monday to go meet the adjuster.

Wish it would have went down like that when some jackass hit my daughter's car in the middle of the night and just split.

This is what I experienced, too. Hit and run with no contact. I was lucky that they only managed to hit the tire that was sticking out up front because the wheels were turned into the curb (manual trans and pointing downhill). Ruined the tire (the only good one I had; was in need of tires).

Clearly the other vehicle suffered more damage. There was a portion of inner fenderwell or wheelwell flare left on the ground, along with a large paint chip (I kept my eyes open for a couple months for passersby with dark metallic blue paint and body damage, but no luck).

I don't keep any parked on the street if I can avoid it.

Here's a pic my son took. You can see the front of his Xterra parked behind mine, amazing she missed it. The service rep I spoke with from Progressive was very pleasant, had spoken to the young woman that hit me already and she told her she lost it coming up the street and hit the parked car. Mine is absolutely legally parked against the curb in front of my home on a very quiet residential street. Most folks in my neighborhood park at least one vehicle on the street-as seen the photo. Between the motorcycle in the garage, my work truck in the driveway I have no where else to park-nor should I.

My wife plowed into a parked construction trailer in the hood that was ALWAYS in the same spot and marked with cones.

Not a scratch on the trailer really.

Totaled her Suby (IMHO). Alas, insurance company fixed it. Damn car never dove right after so we traded it.

Personally I wouldn't even talk the their insurance company. I'd contact mine and have them handle it. That's what I pay them for.

Doesn't matter either way. Better off talking to the claimant carrier in my opinion.
