Default What are your favorite pistol night sites?

I have a 1911 that I would like to put some quality night sites on it.

What at are some of your favorite brands, style and quick to get back in line?

This is a part time carry/nightstand pistol.

Trijicon, or truglo. For the money spent on a "part time carry, bed side"pistol. I'd invest in a quality flash light.

I have a Novak set currently on my 5" 1911 with a tritium dot only in the front-the rear is the wide notch. I really like either Trijicon HD with orange ring or Ameriglo i-dot also with the orange ring (that's what my M&P full size wears). I'd go with either if I was picking sights now.

My favorite sights to date are the Trijicon HD with the yellow front sight, although admittedly I've only had them on my carry Glock. My 1911 wears the factory Novak night sights, which are nice, but if it was my daily carry I'd put some HD's on it. I've also had good luck with the various "high visibility" Ameriglo offerings.

For the price, the Ameriglo sights have served me well. The I-dot model is my favorite as I prefer just having to line two dots up vertically versus lining three dots up horizontally in low light situations.

Run the Heinie Straight Eights on my Nighthawk. Love them. As my main carry I should have done the ledge rear though.

Great suggestions. Thank you everyone. I will research each one and update the thread. I went out to Divide with a buddy today to throw some lead down range. Noticed my friends FN sites were a lot better than mine.

I should say, this is my 90% carry weapon, the other 10% I'm at my kids school, bank or using another smaller weapon.

You don't carry at the bank?

He's being serious. You know that it is not illegal to carry at the bank right? You wouldn't be the first on here to have that misconception; seems to be somewhat common.
