I love my Tavor and I love the 300BLK round. That being said, I don't get the draw.

The whole idea is a shorter and better balanced package that fires full speed rifle cartridges from a 16" barrel. IMO the 5.56 is THE round this platform was designed for and it's already where it shines. Pistol cartridges and 300BLK don't make sense in this platform IMO. If you want a pistol caliber then get something smaller/lighter overall. If you want 300BLK you'll likely want a shorter barrel anyway. I was on the wait list for that extension/suppressor combo for the Tavor 9mm and when I got the call that they were ready for purchase I was stoked. Then I thought about buying a 9mm conversion kit and the cost associated with not even owning a 2nd firearm (just the barrel & conversion) and the PITA swapping it back and forth and decided I needed a dedicated Tavor to wear that suppressor and the thought of such a large/heavy 9mm system that was $2k just made no sense to me. I think this 300BLK version is kind of in that same category. It's a cool idea but functionally smoking 5.56 rounds at 3k fps out of such a short OAL package is where this platform shines.

Take that for whatever it's worth.
