If you move someplace where there are feral hogs nearby, let us know and we'll come down and shoot them for you.

Say 'Hi' to Magpul for us!

The Hill Country is not a bad choice. It'll definitely be a wardrobe change.

    Take care and good luck!

I moved to Texas two years ago and they haven't yet kicked me off here. That may just be an oversight though.

I found a good forum in Texas you might want to join called Texas Gun Talk (although I admit I spend more time reading here than there). Lots of people on there from down where you'll be and they're Texas friendly. There's even someone on that forum that you'll recognize from here but I won't name names.

Enjoy the new open carry law. You'll have to have an LTC (License to Carry) in order to open carry a modern pistola. I guess LTC is what they're now calling it because it's a license to carry both concealed and open. Keep an eye open for those stupid 30.06 and 30.07 signs. I suppose you already know about this since your parents are there but figured I'd share just in case.

As I heard from everyone I met here - Welcome to Texas! We're glad to have ya!

I found it hilarious that Magpul moved to the most liberal city in Texas. Austin is a Kommiefornian enclave surrounded by a great state.

Cold? What cold? I was barefoot and in shorts this morning when I set up the smoker to make some more bacon ...

Hell many of the Colorado members have spent their own time in Texas. My time consisted of 8 years in Houston, my ex wife's family was from San Antonio and Austin.

I spent 3 years near Houston. That's the worst place I've ever lived. The next 3 in San Antonio was much better. DFW was OK, but that was a while ago. Was back a couple of years ago and could hardly recognize the place. What a boomtown. Frisco used to be in the boonies, now it's a 'burb.
