Default Local News Piece on Women and Guns

This is a few days old, but I didn't see it anywhere on the forums. I had to run to work so I hit record on the DVR to see if this was just another political jab at the large number of women buying guns since 2001. It was actually pretty good.

The Fox 31 reporter, Shaul Turner, was afraid of guns and had never even touched one before pursuing the story. I thought the outcome was very positive.

Good to promote that guns aren't evil and one can have fun if you are responsible and follow basic safety rules.

I wish I could find a range to take my wife to where we could have a conversation between shooting. Everything is so crowded around Denver, trying to explain anything is impossible when the guy next to you is letting rip on his 40 round pmag with his SBR.

Dems talk about gun safety but if they were really into the safety aspect, they would build more ranges around town to encourage people to learn proper shooting and gun safety. Might help keep the mountains cleaner too.

Check out Centennial Gun Club. Don't go on a weekend; it's been insane on the weekends. Go during the middle of the week, or check out some of the classes or nights they have geared for ladies.

Yeah, did that for a year or two there. Sounds great at first but they rarely have enough open lanes in there and there is always someone next to you. Even during the week days when it is not too busy, they close down all the range rooms except for 1 and only open the others when they hit capacity. Just got too frustrating to introduce anyone to it. The first time I took her, she couldn't concentrate due the people flanking us shooting. She refuses to try it again in a setting like that.

Unless you have your own land, or are willing to drive for hours, its tough to go shooting, much less stay proficient or introduce new shooters without them freaking out about the guy in the next lane.
