This morning SB 16-017 passed out of the Appropriations Committee, on a 4 to 3 vote, and will go to the whole Senate for a vote, probably next week. All the Republican members of the committee voted for the bill, all the Democrats voted against it. A similar bill passed out of the Senate last year, but died in the House.
