    Default Hot/spice Jerky recommendations?

Looking for some recommendations of either local or online sources, for hot/spicy jerky for my son-in-law. He really likes "hot" stuff, as in, habaneros/jalapenos/peppers kind of 'hot'. My daughter wants to get him a pack for his birthday, so I thought all you knowledgeable folk may know of a local or online retailer that offers a tasty jerky treat!?!?!

    Thanks.

+1. I like soy based recipes. It's better than anything available commercially imo.

I've tried various recipes online but haven't found one that I have really liked. I have a shaker of some stuff someone bought me awhile ago that is habanero mix that is delicious. Unfortunately the package broke so I emptied it into another seasoning shaker I had and marked it "XXX." Wish I knew the brand but its been a few years.

I don't know if you are ever up North, but there is a new store by the Cabelas off 144th & I-25 that specializes in jerky. I have not been in there yet, but they may have something good.

Your in luck, the Tanner Gun Show is this weekend.

I had some called Dakota Trails that was pretty good, may not be habanera.

IDK about super hot, but the best jerky I've eaten (short of home made) is Sweetwood Cattle Co out of Steamboat. The do make a hot jerkey.
Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.

2 words Plano Jerky, if you don't make it your self. They're like drug dealers of jerky. IF you order from them DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT get their chocolate covered walnuts and pistachios.
If you want to make some at home, we have this killer ghost pepper salt i can send you.

Maybe you can just google-image search "shaker habanero mix" (or a combination of those and any other big details of the product you can remember) and see if a bottle design hits your memory? Helps me find stuff I can't remember the name of all the time.

I really like the "River City Jerky" recipe that's soy based. I make that the most. A Goole search should turn it up. Adjust the Cayenne up to make it hotter. Yum.
