Default My Dad and WWII- may he rest in peace

My Dad passed away Jan 14th, 2016 and was buried at Ft. Logan a week ago Friday. He was stationed at Camp Wolters (not Walters) near Mineral Wells, Texas. He was an MP and guarded German POW's.

Below is a picture that one of the prisoners drew of my Dad and presented to him in 1945. He kept it for over 70 years and to this day it is hanging in his office at home.

May my Dad rest in peace.

    RIP warrior.
My dad was at Camp Swift in TX doing the same thing and then he saw a 10th Mountain recruitment poster.
10 days later he was on a train headed to Carson.

Condolence on the loss of your father.

Condolences to you on your loss. The ranks of those WWII heroes are rapidly diminishing. My Dad was a B17 pilot who spent the last three months of the war in Europe in a German POW camp after being shot down. Never flew an airplane again in his life.

The greatest generation is departing one by one, and the "by law everyone should be equal" generation is taking its place.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

Condolences, to you and your family.

Our dad served in Korea. For what memory he still retains, don't ask him how he feels about Truman pulling MacArthur from Korea.
