Grandpa's Sheriff Badge, Littleton 1920's
Seems pretty spot on with the old series. A few episodes of conspiracy theory and then random monster stuff.

I'd like to remind you of the Season 5 episode Bad Blood, in which Mulder and Scully are hunting vampires in Texas.
The show has always been physically dark, but always light hearted at the same time.
Gotta disagree with the OP. This last episode was too damn hilarious. Rhys Darby can be funny reading out of the phone book. Great to see a new spin on the series. Not sure if I'd like it if all the rest are this way, but it's good to be lighthearted every once in a while.
I and the wife didn't like last nights episode at all. Very disappointed, given they only did 6 episodes for this year. Why waste it on that?

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
I liked it. Same genre as "The Trouble with Tribbles".

The lizard dude episode was stupid.
