When I was in Europe in the early 80's, that's what most Europeans and the Brits thought about France. Great place, too bad it's full of French people.

Couldn't agree more.
The problem is that most of the idiots the aren't Californians. Traditionally true Californians were very conservative farmers, bankers, etc. It was the liberal professors that came from all over the world because of the weather and beauty of the state that twisted the education system that in turn brought more morons and eventually destroyed the demographics of California. That and Hollywood. Most of the true Californians left the state long ago.
