Be a good parent and show them how to be a capable human being by example. Be involved in your kids lives and their education, get to know their teachers and make sure you reinforce the behaviors and ideas you want to instill in them.

Because it is possible to raise functioning members of society in this day and age (gasp!) and it doesn't require isolation from society nor does it require a ridiculously restrictive lifestyle.

Far too many parents are not involved in their kids lives and education... In doing that, you can at least teach them that everything they learn in school is NOT correct, and why.


And it IS possible to home school without isolating them from society or leading a "restrictive lifestyle". Home schooling is taking involvement in your kids lives and education to the highest level.


Do you think it would be a good idea to have your kids exposed to prison inmates with no supervision? Yes, an extreme example, but so is saying all home schooled kids are isolated, living "ridiculously restricted lifestyles"...

Government schools produce the type of success many of us have come to expect from government agencies. Do all that you can to keep the Progressives from indoctrinating your children.

There are good teachers in government schools just like there are good employees working for the government. Those good people are constrained by the agenda of the Progressive in charge of that government. The good people inside are worn down over time like stones in a mountain stream.

I know some home schooled kids, they're GREAT! They're pleasant to be around and to talk to about a variety of topics.

I don't know where this idea came from that home schooled kids are restricted or isolated, probably from the same stupid fucktards that voted the union back in power in JeffCo.

I think it comes from the leftists that are upset they don't get the FEDERAL FUNDS because our kids aren't in their system... Follow the money.

Our kids are in extracurricular activities (like sports) and we consistently hear how much they prefer how polite, friendly and teachable or kids are compared to other kids in their program. Some have no idea our kids are home schooled.

ETA: common core and school violence has started a mass migration to home/on-line schooling. Many school districts now have on line programs started for troubled kids, but are being inundated when parents realize they have options.
