I'm not defending the specific people you're referring to, but when you join and see that all of the active threads are dominated by the same ~20 people, it's a bit intimidating.

Join in those threads and be member #21 in them. We are primarily a discussion forum and overall a very friendly bunch. New members, or legacy members with low post counts are just as welcome, and equally encouraged, to join in on the discussions as the members with 20k+ posts. The camaraderie built by participating here develops trust and great friendships - even with old crotchety folks like me and the Great Kazoo.

Oh yea, you're correct. There's a lot of forum members who without asking for or wanting recognition, have been helpful to myself and numerous others.
As we all have, through both good and bad times. THAT'S what makes the forum feel like home. A broken, severely disturbed one. But home none the same.

I was wondering why Bob was not mentioned in that group. But he is a lot less grumpy than Jim most of the time.
