    Default Bible verse opinions

So, I'm thinking of having a verse put on a Spikes Crusader lower. Wanted to run a few by you guys to see what you think. The one that Spikes puts on the factory rifles is Psalm 144:1, "Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle." There are a few others that I think I like better.

#1- Matthew 5:9, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."

#2- Proverbs 21:15, "When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers."

#3- Matthew 5:7, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy."

I'm leaning towards #3 but am open to other suggestions as well.

    Thanks.

I always liked how Ephesians 6: 10-17 related to guns, self defense, etc.:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
    15 and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace;
16 besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Problem is that its not very good for short quotes.

You could always do the pulp fiction route with some part/version of Ezekiel 25:17....

"And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them."

I'm with honeybadger on this one. A challenge coin with that verse is part of my daily carry.

A little long, but you could just pick the middle portion.

"Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

    Or how about Psalm 22:11

"Be not far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help."
