"When law and morality contradict each other, the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense or losing his respect for the law." -Frederic Bastiat
"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

My Dad has a turbocharged PT with a manual transmission, it's surprisingly quick for what it is. I still would never own one though. Riddled with little problems that'll nickel and dime you to death.
I call his the PT Bruiser, because it has seriously bruised some egos of car owners who thought they were fast.
Flame suit on....
I <3 my subaru and don't understand the shade others throw. I've never lost control in the snow (that wasn't clearly my inexperienced fault) and never had a piece break or malfunction (knock on wood). I get good mileage and it takes me from point A to B and I feel reasonably secure in the event of a collision not involving a semi or F250 (not going to be the same as being in a heavier BMW or Benz, but I didn't want to be in that maintenance market at this point). I've never not been able to easily fit everything I wanted to in there.
I get it that a lot of people see soccer moms irresponsibly driving them as they apply makeup and gab on the phone or granola munching hipster-beard douchebags with obummer/biden stickers, but I've seen loads more dumb pieces of shit irresponsibly driving tahoes, suburbans, even pickups for that matter, etc.

Had me worried for a while, Kalamazoo is my hometown and the Cracker Barrel off of I-94 is where my uncle takes my grandmother for lunch after mass on Sundays. My dad and his wife like to go there every few weeks for dinner as well.
Question...
If there's an active shooter in one's neighborhood, under the rules regarding ID&D, and especially after someone has already been hit, wouldn't it be legal for one to stop the threat with their own rifle?
