Colorado Rifle Club Cancellations due toroad conditions or something else?
I was thinking about heading out to CRC on SUnday (2/21), but I see that everything has been cancelled for the month, including todays Steel Challenge. I know the mud was bad and made worse with some rough driving and ruts. I would have thought everything was dried out. Are the roads to rough to get out there?
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.
I don't know what today, 2/21, is like, but it was a soupy mess out there a week ago.
Went out and the roads were dry and firm. The east ranges were a bit rutted but only a few puddles. They had the Sporting Clays, which I assume would be the worst of all.

I'm toying with the idea of heading out tomorrow and getting a bit of shooting in before whatever weather is coming tomorrow evening - will have to double check the forecast. Good to know that it dried out.
They will be paying for some road base added to the steel range road due to how rutted and screwed up it is, as for cancellations, this time of year it could be anything from weather to lack of enough expected participants. I would email the contact listed on the schedule for the activity and get some firsthand info related to cancellations.
I shot sporting clays out there today and it was perfect weather, as of now everything is dry.
