It Really Is A Small World...

I stopped at a convenience store for fuel on the way home today. I noticed a HD that looked just like one I'd sold about 5 years ago to a guy from Casper, WY. Both he and the bike were fairly distinctive...the bike because of the fairly rare color and the guy because he's really big with a classic flat-top haircut.

I noticed the bike did have WY plates. When the guy came out of the store...well, it was him. I walked over to him and asked if he remembered me? He said, "Yeah...you're the guy that sold me that damned bike." I was a little worried he might snap me in half because it sounded like he wasn't pleased. Then he laughed and said he'd put almost 100,000 miles on it since he bought it and never wanted to work any more. He also said it saved his marriage because he was never around to fight with his wife! I guess they like it that way.

I offered to have him over for a beer but he was in a rush to get up to Spokane for the night so he could leave early for Seattle tomorrow.

Just thought the odds against me seeing him, in Lewiston, ID, on a bike he bought from me 5 years ago in Bailey, CO must be astronomical. Maybe I should buy a powerball ticket.
