    Default American Marksman

Well folks, you can now sign up for American Marksman! Check out the page, the rules, the local ranges and get on board the coolest thing to hit the shooting industry in 2016! American Marksman is a new shooting sport that stresses the fundamentals of shooting. With no movement at the local level and only a few steps at the Regional level, this new sport will require the competitor to quickly execute the fundamentals of shooting. There is no reason a squirrel hunter or plinker could not win this whole thing. At the local level, you just need a .22RF pistol or rifle and you can go shoot at your local range to qualify to go to one of nine regionals. From the regionals, where all the firearms and ammo will be provided (centerfire rifle, pistol and shotgun will be added), division winners will be invited to compete at the finals, which will be amazing and more challenging. If you are a new competitive shooter, or have ever wanted to try it, this is your chance to shine, and maybe win $50K! The Divisions are open Men, open Women, Mil/LE and junior. Through the regionals, you will only compete against those in your division.

I know that a few members here won't be eligible, but what is it we always say about wanting to get new shooters into the sport? THIS is tailor made for you awesome shooters to get your neighbors, family members and friends into competition shooting with just a little effort: http://www.ammarksman.com/ You can use AM5OFF as a discount code to sign up.

    Practice Targets: http://www.nationalt...n-marksman-c-60

CO ranges are BlueCore, Centennial, Family Shooting Center, Front Range Gun Club, Magnum Shooting Center, Rocky Mountain Gun Club and Shoot Indoors. The Rocky Mountain Regional (if you qualify) is at Colorado Rifle Club June 24-26. Finals at CMP Talladega 1st week of January 2017. I'd love to have 4 Colorado shooters in the finals!

So looked into this, found the 2 kids are eligible but I am not due to NRA ranking. Funny thing is the kid is on the USA Shooting Team and I never win shit...

Regardless went to order some practice targets and the shipping costs are absurd. If anyone wants to go in on some targets to reduce shipping let me know.

I think if you order $50 worth, the shipping is free. so a group buy is good. You can make your own too. The center is 2.6"...the size of a rattle can lid. The outer is 6.2".

I am going to need staff for this match. If you are an RO, RSO, SO, CRO, etc. with any national organization and want to work this match, let me know and I will get you on the list. There is a per diem of $100 for ROs, we will feed you, and if you qualified to shoot it, we will give you breaks to go shoot your stages. If you have a spouse, friend, etc. who wants to scorekeep with you, that is fine too.

If you belong to CRC, they will have some staffing needs as well for which your workbond can be fulfilled at least one day. This will likely be the biggest match ever at CRC and poses some great opportunities for CRC as well as the possibility to attract other major matches.

The Centerfire guns for The American Marksman regionals are the Ruger American in .223Rem with Burris Optics Company FF E1 2-7, Kel-Tec Sub2000 9mm carbine and the CZP09 9mm pistol. The CZP09 will be equipped with a Crimson Trace laser. These will all be fed with Aguila Ammunition.

The rimfire guns are the Tactical Solutions X-Ring rifle and Pac-Lite Pistol. These will be fed with ELEY Force ammunition.

Still need a few more ROs too.
