    Default Bronco's used on ISIS.

    Not the football team. http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/11/politi...sis/index.html

Helps make argument for keeping A-10 all the more over F-35. Though in areas where you know they dont have stolen stingers, I do think it makes some sense to basically technologically regress to a point in history that's still got the advantage but more appropriate for the stone age enemy we are fighting.

I was really surprised to hear that the USAF even still has any OV-10A's, let alone any in flying condition, and combat-ready? I wouldn't have bet anything on that.

Keep your bet Rondog. Those were borrowed from NASA a while back. They were tested in Afghanistan also, then later in the Iraq/Syria fronts. The US Customs/Border Patrol, maybe DEA still, are the only ones in the US still using 'em on a regular basis.

Hey, I think we should still have a fleet of combat-ready P-51 Mustangs too! And some P-38's, P-47's, A-26B's, etc......

Wait till they take some fire and the crew gets stuck on the ground over there. That A10 can take a lot more damage than the twin prop. Not to mention the Hog driver sits in a titanium tub. This just proves how much the USAF hates the A10.

I seem to recall those broncos were built pretty tough too ....

They were designed for CAS also .... did well in Vietnam.

There are a couple that the original manufacturer (or whoever currently owns the design) reworked with modern avionics and upgraded engines. Essentially new airframes to study the feasibility of producing more. That and the Philippines is looking at upgrades and life extensions for their fleet.
